Why I Bet on Sports?

What’s your story? I bet on sports because I’ve been a sporting fan all my life, and I figure I may as well keep things exciting, and see if I can turn a profit at the same time. I started out betting on motorsports – my passion is for anything that goes fast, be it on dirt tracks or ovals. Over time I expanded that to boxing betting, and even football betting – it’s amazing how exciting a bunch of guys and a ball can become when there’s money on the line.

No offence intended to football fans, of course – you may feel the same way about motorsports – everyone has their preferences!

But, I digress. Sports betting started as a way to ‘pay’ for track tickets, pay per views, and other goodies. It also makes those mid card matches a little more exciting. The decision to get into arbitrage came later.

I still allow myself some fun and do some crazy outside bets when the mood strikes, but with a small percentage of my bankroll and as a special treat.

If you’re new to betting, I’d recommend the same for you. The adrenaline rush from a wild bet rocks, even now, and when you’ve budgeted for it, it’s even better, because you don’t have to stress about what will happen if you lose.

I’d recommend all new bettors read up about bankroll management, picks, etc., before kicking off their careers. Good luck, and have fun!
